ESD Resin Flooring
Static-control resin flooring systems for electronics, manufacturing, and other sensitive environments where controlled electrostatic discharge is required.

ESD Flooring for Static-Sensitive Environments
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage sensitive components, disrupt processes, and create additional risk in controlled industrial environments. Floorfinder’s ESD flooring systems are designed to control static charge at floor level, providing a defined path for electrical charge to dissipate rather than accumulate on people or equipment.
Unlike a standard anti-static surface treatment, ESD performance comes from the complete build-up. The flooring system specifies conductive or dissipative layers, grounding, and wearing surfaces based on electrical and operating requirements.
How ESD Control Is Built Into the Flooring System
A typical ESD flooring system combines several coordinated layers to manage electrical resistance across the finished surface.
- Primer
Prepares the substrate and provides the adhesion base for the system. - Conductive Layer
Creates the electrical pathway through the flooring build-up and integrates with the grounding arrangement. - ESD Body or Wearing Layer
Provides the required static-control characteristics alongside mechanical and chemical resistance. - Finishing Layer
Where specified, completes the surface while maintaining the required electrical properties.
The full system must be considered together because changing the coating, thickness, grounding arrangement, or other layers can affect its ESD performance.
Key Characteristics of ESD Resin Flooring
- Controlled Static Dissipation
Helps prevent electrostatic charge from accumulating across sensitive working areas. - System-Integrated Grounding
Conductive layers and grounding connections work together as part of the complete flooring specification. - Durable Working Surface
Selected systems combine static control with resistance to traffic, abrasion, and routine industrial use. - Chemical-Resistant Options
ESD systems can be selected for environments exposed to cleaning agents or process chemicals. - Epoxy & PU Options
Different resin technologies are available to suit the mechanical, chemical, and operating requirements of the space. Floorfinder also manufactures anti-static polyurethane concrete for demanding industrial applications.
Suitable Applications
Suitable for electronics manufacturing, assembly areas, laboratories, cleanrooms, controlled production spaces, and other environments where static-sensitive equipment, components or processes require managed electrostatic discharge.
Suitable for commercial kitchens, car park ramps, wet areas, changing facilities, industrial walkways, loading bays, healthcare spaces and other commercial environments where a non-slip floor coating or slip-resistant flooring system is required for safer movement.
